Craftsmanship

Stave by stave.
Voice by voice.

Each shell is built from individually cut staves of solid hardwood. The result is a drum with a voice as distinctive as the player who owns it.

Choosing

Every wood has a voice.

Maple, birch, cherry, mahogany, walnut, oak. Which one belongs under your stick depends on what you're chasing — not on what's popular. Here's how we think about it.

Common questions

The basics.

How long does a custom build take?

Six to eight weeks from order confirmation. We'll send progress photos along the way so you can see your drum take shape.

What does a custom snare cost?

Standard hardwood builds run $800–$1,200 depending on wood, size, and hardware. The Reserve Series — figured domestic hardwoods like curly maple, birdseye, quilted, pommele mahogany, and fiddleback oak — starts at $1,200. Exotic hardwoods like purpleheart, bloodwood, bubinga, bocote, lacewood, and leopardwood start at $3,000. We send a fixed quote within 24 hours of your inquiry — no surprises later.

What sizes can you build?

Standard sizes range from 13×3.5 up to 14×6.5. We also build deep snares up to 14×8, which our worship drummers love for that big backbeat. Custom sizes outside that range are possible — just ask.

Which woods do you offer?

Standard hardwoods: maple, birch, cherry, mahogany, walnut, and oak. The Reserve Series — figured hardwoods with grain patterns like curly, birdseye, quilted, flame, pommele, and fiddleback — offers the same tonal character with striking looks. Exotic options include purpleheart, bloodwood, bocote, bubinga, lacewood, and leopardwood. Each wood has its own voice — we'll help you choose based on the sound you're after.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Shipping is calculated at the time of quote based on your location.

What's your return policy?

Because every drum is custom built to your specifications, we don't accept returns on completed orders. We do guarantee the drum against any manufacturing defect for the life of the instrument.
